Diageo is one of the world’s largest drinks groups, selling more than 200 brands (including Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Smirnoff, Baileys, Captain Morgan, Tanqueray and Gordon’s) in nearly 180 countries. Formed in 1997 by the merger of Guinness plc and Grand Metropolitan, it now operates 132 production sites worldwide and distils about 40 % of all Scotch whisky.
